Background
Francis Carlota was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to living in San Diego, he stayed close to home obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College in 2018. Three years later, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Francis was the Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and won the 2021 ABA Negotiation National Championship as a part of the school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. He also finished a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Kenneth J. Medel of the Superior Court of San Diego County in California.
After law school, Francis worked as a law clerk where he focused on insurance defense and on medical malpractice defense.
Francis joined Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP as a law clerk in 2022.
