In 2017, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) listed Glyphosate as a cancer causing chemical. Subsequently, a 2019 study further established the link between glyphosate, found in Monsanto’s Roundup, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Glyphosate, found in Monsanto’s Roundup, is the most commonly used pesticide in the United States, with over 1.8 million tons of the chemical used since 1974. Due to contemporary GMO techniques there has been a 500% rise in Glyphosate use in pesticides since 1996. As a result, many California workers have been exposed to Glyphosate and may have suffered damages as a result.
